The Role: The Technical Designer collaborates with our Design team to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the technical design documents like floor plans, construction sets, elevations, power plans, and more. This role is highly specialized, exhibiting expert use of AutoCAD and Revit software to create high-quality design drawings for building construction and project creation while including building codes and specifications for design. Precision and extreme attention to detail are crucial, as are creativity, organizational skills, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines under pressure. Interpersonal, communication, and listening skills are necessary to take direction from designers, architects and executives during the research, sketching and creation processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical Design Work
- Create full sets of interior design drawings, including floor plans, construction sets, RCP, elevations / details, power plans in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Create specifications
- Review, edit, and update based on feedback from project lead and executives
- Coordinate with Subcontractors under Senior Designers’ supervision
- Develop and implement CD standards
- Space plan taking into consideration ADA codes and programming needs
- Answer and submit RFIs and submittals per project requirements
- Attend Site Visits (Including but Not Limited: Framing, Dry Wall, Pre-Install)
- Ability to detail out construction items and design finishes per project requirements
- Create, Maintain and Revise Project Specification Binders
- Execute Accurate and Prompt Revisions to Client
- Special Projects and assigned task as needed

Technical Skills Desired
- Extensive experience and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM360
- Comfort and familiarity in Google Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, BlueBeam, SketchUp
- Comfort and familiarity with communication and project management software such as Hangouts, Zoom, GoTo Meeting, and Monday
Design Skills Desired
- Ability to hand sketch
- Expertise and real world knowledge of design process, principles, construction methods, and creating detailed construction drawings with proper notation for permit
Job-Related Performance Skills Desired
- Great communication skills (clear, proactive, direct, and frequent for both written and verbal) to interface with vendors, contractors, clients, teammates
- Highly organized with ability to breakdown a large project into smaller tasks and sequence the tasks appropriately
- Excellent attention to detail – you double check your work and learn from mistakes
- Time management skills – knowing how much effort and time to put into the different priorities at hand. You don’t waste time on or present things that won’t work budget-wise or functionally
- Solves problems efficiently and able to analyze complex issues
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to be a team player and think big picture “holistically” like an CEO
- Refined design aesthetic
- Professional / creative / polished appearance
- Proven ability to be self-reliant and demonstrate a high level of professional maturity
Qualifications Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Architecture-related field
- Minimum of 3 -5 years experience
- Related architecture and design experience with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, with clean driving record and auto insurance to get to/from client sites
