AEC Daily - IDCEC Course# AEC1685.1 Credit: 0.1HSW

DESCRIPTION: Rubber has been recycled for more than a century and used in recycled rubber flooring for over 65 years. Over this time, it has been proven to be a durable and flexible product that improves numerous aspects of the built environment while benefiting the natural environment. The course also includes an overview of how recycled rubber flooring can be used to meet a number of USGBC ’s LEED ® v4 BD+C and WELL Building Standard ® v2 credit requirements. OBJECTIVES: At the end of this program, participants will be able to: 1) recall the sustainability attributes of recycled rubber flooring when choosing flooring materials, 2) determine why, how, when, and where to install recycled rubber flooring, 3) improve living, working, and learning environments with the use of recycled rubber flooring, and 4) increase green building performance and recall LEED v4 BD+C and WELL Building Standard v2 credits to which rubber flooring may contribute.
